Getting Started at Adelphi

International Students at Adelphi

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Adelphi.

Getting Started Checklist for International Students

You need to Pay Your Deposit before you can register for orientation or apply for housing. Once you’ve paid your tuition deposit, you’ll receive a New Student Kit in the mail, containing a campus map, a calendar of important dates and orientation information.

You will be sent a welcome email to the email address you used to apply with. This email contains a unique one time use URL that will allow you to create a password for your new student eCampus account.

Log in to eCampus so you can apply for housing, access your Adelphi Gmail, register for classes, access Moodle and other important forms and other exclusive services.

Please note: Access to eCampus is not immediate. It could take 1-5 days after you’ve deposited to gain access to the eCampus portal, depending on method of payment (e.g., payment by electronic check can take 5 business days for your payment to clear).

Complete all required documentation needed to receive your form I-20 or DS-2019. After all documents are received, you will be sent either your I-20 or DS-2019.
Once your forms are completed, you will be able to register for International Orientation which is mandatory for F-1 and J-1 International Students and Scholars. Orientation will help to make your adjustment to Adelphi a smooth one and provide you with essential information regarding immigration status.
Explore on-campus housing options available in our seven residence halls.
All students are required to complete the Complete Health and Immunization Forms with their physician. Please note: You will not be allowed to attend class and may be withdrawn from the University unless these forms are on file with Health Services. Also make sure you meet insurance requirements.

Bring a form of photo ID (driver’s license or permit, passport) to receive your Adelphi Photo ID Card at the Department of Public Safety and Transportation (located in Levermore Hall).

Register your car with the Department of Public Safety and Transportation (located in Levermore Hall) to receive your parking decal.
